Field Marshal Bernard L. Montgomery, pair of Special Messages issued October 1942 to the Officers & Men of the 8th Army ahead of the Battle at Al Alamein, both ink-signed by Montgomery in 1970, together with a further Message issued in November 1942, unsigned, and few related items. These messages were the property of the late J. Dixon, a signaller in the 8th Army, who was able to meet Montgomery in 1970 and obtained Monty’s signatures in person. 19x12cm and 19x16cm, some creasing, laid down on thin card. VG
