Ian Fleming For Your Eyes Only, signed First Edition. Jonathan Cape, 1960, original cloth, gilt title, ‘Eye' design in white to front board, in the dustjacket, signed by Ian Fleming on title page. The jacket is worn, with few peripheral tears, flaps intact, 16s on front flap, and suffers from browning with some fading to the spine. The book is in very good condition, with some slight foxing to edge of textblock and slight spotting to first few leaves but is o/w very clean internally and retains the bookseller's ticket of George's of Bristol. There are a couple of ink blobs to the title page, one just affecting the ‘Ian' of Ian Fleming's autograph. [From the collection of the late Dr. G.C. Kanjilal]

A Medieval Monastic Missal, probably 15th Century. Illuminated manuscript on vellum, incomplete, comprising 4pp summary of contents, 54pp of text, and a 2pp commentary in another hand. Illuminated initials throughout, one page with floral decoration in margin. Occasional contemporary marginal annotation. Darkening throughout especially the contents pages and one page of the main text, o/w good condition. Ownership inscription in Latin states “This book was given to Samuel Harvey by his friend Thomas Fearnhead in 1780”. Disbound, several loose pages, 14.7 x 10.5cm. [Provenance: obtained by the vendor's father from Peter Eaton Booksellers of London in 1958].
