William Camden Britannia: or a Chorographical Description of Great Britain and Ireland, the Second Edition, revised by Edmund Gibson, 1722, printed by Mary Matthews for Awnsham Churchill, folio, 2 vols, full contemporary sheep, chipped/worn in places, skilfully rebacked, with new gilt title labels, inner hinges strengthened; b/w frontispiece; titles in red & black; complete with the 51 double-page Maps by Robert Morden and 11 other single-page plates, all in very good condition, in their original uncoloured state; fore-edge of map of Kent creased; errata leaf at end of vol.2 rather grubby o/w very clean internally with occasional minor imperfections; occasional light pencil annotations in margin. A very good set.

George William Anderson A New, Authentic, and Complete Collection of Voyages Round the World Undertaken and Performed by Royal Authority, Containing a New, Authentic, Entertaining, Instructive, Full, and Complete Historical Account of Captain Cook's First, Second, Third and Last Voyages….Alex Hogg, 1784, folio, recased in full leather, the boards overlaid with much of the original mottled calf binding, gilt title worn, new endpapers; portrait frontispiece damaged, rebacked, some pieces missing; folding map rebacked, some small loss; the other 153 plates/maps/charts intact; occasional brown staining and grubby marks but generally good internally, especially the plates.
