Shane Leslie The Cuckoo Clock and other poems, 1987, tall quarto, original gilt cloth, illustrated by Iris Leslie with four coloured lithographs and hand-coloured illustrations throughout; signed & inscribed by the illustrator. One of 150 produced. The limitation page indicates that the hand-coloured illustrations were to be confined to 50 other copies bound in morocco; however this copy appears to have been especially coloured by Iris Leslie who has inscribed this copy to “Dopsy”, evidently a new family member, as the name of Luke Daniel has been added in ink to the list of Shane Leslie's great grandchildren on the dedication page; in addition a photograph of an oil painting of the author has been laid down on the front pastedown. A unique copy in fine condition.
