Great Britain 1712 fine EL to London from Capt. Blakiston, written on board HMS Newark at Chatham, b/s with VG second type Bishop Mark. Charge mark in manuscript. The Newark was involved in a number of naval actions including the capture of Gibraltar in 1704.

Great Britain Jan. 1841 printed letter sheet from Tipton to Dudley with fine 1d Black cancelled with a light Maltese Cross in red, s/l TIPTON at left and b/s TIPTON cds. The letter concerns the proposal for a new road from Sedgley to Tividale via Tipton, Staffordshire. The stamp is near four-margined, just touching upper left corner. Letter sheet has a few internal repairs.
