[War Office] Technical Notes, R.F.C. [Royal Flying Corps], H.M.S.O., 1916, signed and inscribed 2nd Lt. Eyre Percival Morris, 1st. Batt. The Buffs, in pencil to front endpaper. Morris was a pilot with No.8 Squadron, Royal Flying Corps. He was killed in action on 1st May 1917 when his aircraft took a direct hit from an artillery shell while he was on observation patrol. Original printed cloth, front board marked; very good internally and complete with 38 folding diagrams, plate number 30 torn (though no loss) and requiring repair. The index refers to a ‘Plate 37A' which is not present though there is no sign of anything having been removed. A unique copy. [Collector's research notes included]

Souvenir of the Eagle's Nest, c.1948, string-bound album, 6 x 8.5”, with 20 mounted photographs, descriptive captions in manuscript, including the SS barracks and Hitler's house, two showing bomb damage to adjacent buildings. [These were produced for tourists individually and vary in content. Few have survived. The captions suggest that Hitler's house was itself damaged by RAF bombing but this is incorrect.]

Half-leather, gilt, rubbed at extremities. Inscription by author to title page. A scarce title.[Primrose, 1848-85, served in the Grenadier Guards and as the Military Attache at Vienna. He was the brother of Archibald Primrose, 5th Earl of Rosebery. His mother who is the author was a very close companion to Queen Victoria and was bridesmaid at her wedding].
