Inscribed by the author to Viscount Halifax top of title page. 257pp. A scarce title. [Col. Primrose (1848-85) served in the Grenadier Guards, later as the Military Attache at Vienna. He was the brother of Archibald Primrose, 5th Earl of Rosebery, UK Prime Minister. His mother, who is the author, was a very close companion to Queen Victoria and was bridesmaid at her wedding].
