The Manchester Martyrs and the murder of Police Sergeant Brett, 1867, comprising an original 14 x 10.5” photograph on glass of Sergeant Brett, and The Illustrated London News for 9th November detailing the trial of the members of the Irish Republican Brotherhood with a second edition insert describing their execution. Also a reproduction of a contemporary broadside, reproduction photographs, and research notes. The photograph of Sergeant Brett cracked, professionally repaired and subsequently framed and glazed.
