Holocaust Photographs: a selection of original photos comprising a pair of snapshots of Litzmannstadt Ghetto, one showing a queue for food, the other clearing snow at the cemetery; two official Press Photos by Czech photographer Jan Bartuse of Prague showing released Concentration Camp victims at a railway station, one overlooked by men in uniform and civilians, each 5 x 7”; and three poor quality privately taken photos depicting the expulsion of Jews from their homes in Warsaw, one apparently depicting looters carrying away property (these photos salvaged from a fire, one with burn marks). Third Reich period Armbands issued to Jews in Ghettos and Concentration Camps, one from Buchenwald Camp with a green triangle used to denote a professional criminal; an armband inscribed “Jaad” of Dutch origin also bears the handstamp of the Villiampole Ghetto in Lithuania and is unlikely to be genuine, and another with OST sewn patch is of doubtful authenticity. Theresienstadt Ghetto currency notes, Czechoslovakia, 1943, the 20kr, 50kr and 100kr notes on watermarked paper. Set of seven values from 1kr to 100kr. Uncirculated. VF. Together with 5mk and 10mk currency notes for Litzmannstadt Ghetto, circulated, the 5mk note in poor condition. (9)
