The Universal Magazine of Knowledge and Pleasure, Volumes 1 & 2, John Hinton, 1747-48, octavo, nicely rebound in full 20th Century calf, gilt, raised bands; folding county maps intact, but Vol. 1 lacks 3 plates (Windsor Castle, Stow/Eton, and Lord Somers) but has an extra plate at p.351 (Practical Chemistry), and Vol.2 lacks one plate (Polishing Plate Glass).
