A WW2 Correspondence between a British Sergeant based initially in Egypt and his girlfriend in Wallasey, from 1942 to 1943 as a POW in Italy, thereafter as a POW in Germany, comprising covers (with enclosures) and POW Letter Cards & PCs. Most are from the soldier but the collection includes 12 UK Air Mail Letter Sheets (two badly soiled) to him either in Germany or Italy. Wide variety of postal & censor markings. The soldier was a member of the 1st Cheshire Regiment. (74)
